Obituary of JOSEPH KAZIUK
JOSEPH KAZIUK
After a brief very courageous battle with cancer, on October 31, 2011, Joseph passed away at St. Boniface Hospital.
Joe leaves to mourn his daughter Gloria (John), grandchildren Johnny and Maria, and great grandchild Noah.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary of 64 years.
Joe worked for Dominion Malting for 39 years, as elevator foreman and later as a Malthouse foreman. He served on the South Transcona school board. After retirement, he helped build our house and then worked at Beaver Lumber and McDiarmid Lumber part time where he made many friends among co-workers and satisfied customers.
His violin lessons as a child led to his love of piano and the harmonica, which he played with his friends in the Lodge. Joe was a gift to all who knew him, and ready to be of assistance to us all. He was happiest when with his family and his hobbies.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 4, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 505 Brewster Street. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe’s name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
