Obituary of PETER KRYWENKY
PETER KRYWENKY
May 8, 1916 – March 14, 2015
It is with deepest of hearts that we announce that our Uncle Peter passed away peacefully with his nieces and nephews by his side at Fred Douglas Lodge.
Uncle Peter was predeceased by his parents Sofie and Paul, six siblings, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and friends.
Uncle Peter was born on a farm in Dallas, MB, youngest of six siblings. At the early age of fifteen he worked at Birch Point Log Camp as a cook and baker. Then he went to Bissette Gold Mines as a cook and baker for the miners.
At forty-two he moved to Winnipeg with his mother, working at T. Eaton Co. and bartending at different legions for years.
Once you got to know Uncle Peter you would find that he was like a teddy bear. He had a heart of gold and would be able to make anyone smile.
A very special thank-you to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for the understanding care, support and comfort they showed to our Uncle Peter.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Uncle Peter’s great nephews will be his pallbearers.
