Obituary of JOHN GREGORY BOROSKAE
JOHN GREGORY BOROSKAE
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father John Boroskae on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the age 67.
He was Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 2005 and his Brother Larry in 2006. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Anne (Blair), John and his two grandchildren, Melissa and Riley.
He is survived by his two sisters Marie (Mike), Linda (Rollie), and his Brothers; George (Muriel), Ken, Ed (Donna), and Michael; In-laws Marian (Ken), Eddy and Patricia; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
John was born on June 3, 1947 and was one of 3 triplets. He was raised in Winnipeg and grew up in the north end. John started work at an early age at the Winnipeg cold storage, where he worked up until his leave at age 40.
John enjoyed bowling in the many 10 pin leagues over the years. He also enjoyed watching hockey, football, wrestling, and playing card games like crazy eights, war or go fish, especially with his grandchildren.
Family was important to John and he loved spending quality time with them. He was a very kind and gentle man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be lovingly cherished and missed by all.
Funeral service to celebrate the life of John will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to the Parkinson's Foundation. The Family would like to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for all their care and compassion.
At heart of gold stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
God took you home to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Heartaches in this world are many,
But loosing you was worse than any,
It will be lonely here without you,
We will miss you more each day,
For life will not be the same for us,
Since you’ve been called away.
We will always remember the way you looked,
The way you walked and smiled,
All the things you did for us,
Will be with us all the while,
You always did your best,
You heart was true and tender,
You lived your life for those you loved,
and those you loved remembered.
