Obituary of ANDREW DUBESKY
ANDREW JOHN DUBESKY
Peacefully, on Monday April 13, 2015, Andy passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years.
Andy was predeceased by both his wife Frances and son Larry in 2005. Andy leaves to mourn his beloved children, son Kory (Barb) Dubesky, daughter Marla (Lance) Smith and grandchildren Tyson and Kristy Smith.
Andy was born and educated in Winnipeg and lived his entire life in the Elmwood /East Kildonan area. Andy retired from the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1985 after a very enjoyable 40 year career.
Dad was very sociable and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His favourite pastime was playing bingo at Club Regent where he met and made many friends. Dad loved his weekends at the lake. Some of our fondest memories at the cabin were watching Dad put on his captain’s hat and taking us kids’ water skiing and tubing and in the evenings, we always enjoyed playing cards and rummoli to the wee hours of the morning. Dad also enjoyed making his delicious homemade chicken soup, and for dessert, you could always find an apple or lemon pie in his fridge.
We miss you so much Dad and always will.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Concordia Hospital for the wonderful care given to Dad.
