Obituary of JOAN MARY SCHAEFER

JOAN MARY SCHAEFER (previously THURLBECK) Nee Wellnitz It is with sadness that the family of Joan Schaefer announces her passing on June 3, 2015 at Concordia Hospital Winnipeg. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband John Arnold Schaefer, her children Gregg Thurlbeck, Tracy (Angelo) Macchia, and Jeff (Caroline) Thurlbeck, step-children Lloyd (Gina) Schaefer and Ian (Julie) Schaefer, grandchildren Kalyna, Luka, Elorie, Dylan, Sara (Colin), Daniel, Adam, and Ryanne (Sean), and great-grandchildren Declan and Emmett. Joan was predeceased by her husband Ralph Cyril Thurlbeck. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Lions Manor for their care and compassion shown to Joan. A Celebration of Joan's Life will be held on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
