Obituary of ANNETTE MARIE TOMLINSON
ANNETTE MARIE TOMLINSON
March 17, 1927 – June 13, 2015
Our Mom, Nan and Great Nan passed away peacefully while in
the loving care of the wonderful staff on 4B at St. Boniface
Hospital.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Norman
Tomlinson, great-grandson Baby Dirk Palmer, her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Cyr, twin brother Raymond Cyr, sister Rita
Boston, and brother Rene Cyr, brothers-in-law Pat Bulger and
Jim Thurston.
She will be greatly missed by her four daughters Louise Orr
(Dennis); Lennie, who has spent the last couple years lovingly
attending to Mom’s every need; Pat Hauser (Greg); Joyce
Kirouac (Rheal), her grandchildren, whom she loved
dearly: Sherry Black(Palmer), Dean Palmer, Jason Kirouac,
Shaun Hauser, Tim Hauser and great-grandchildren Kristi
Gehon, Justyn Gehon, Ty Palmer, Bo Palmer, Chip Palmer,
Gemma Hauser, Harry Hauser and Charlie Hauser.
Mom was the eldest, along with her twin brother Raymond, of a
very large French family from Iles Des Chenes, MB. She took
her role as Matriarch very seriously and each and every one of
her siblings had a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed a
great relationship with her many wonderful sisters-in-law, from
both sides of her family. She raised four daughters while Dad
had to travel extensively to care for his family.
Mom had very little formal education but her accomplishments
in life were many. She worked at Eaton’s and Sampson’s and
worked her way up to being a Manager. She made many life-
long friends along the way with her happy and positive
disposition. She learned how to use a computer, an I-pad and
how to maintain a company going after Dad passed away.
She faced her many medical challenges bravely and never let
them stop her from enjoying life. She loved the time she has
spent in Fort Garry Place, making new friends, playing bridge
and crib, going out for dinner with them and also spending her
golden years with her very special friends Eileen Murphy and
Flo Parkinson.
We would also like to thank all the wonderful Home Care
workers for their “daily visits”.
We are very thankful that Mom is finally at peace and you can
be sure there is a really big party going on somewhere up above!
Enjoy Mom, we love you.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, Manitoba
