Obituary of ELEONORA MASI
ELEONORA MASI
(nee Fiorentino)
December 23, 1931 – August 6, 2015
With her children at her bedside, we Mirella, Nuccia and Frank, announce the passing of our beloved mother on Thursday, August 6, 2015.
Our wonderful mother was predeceased by her husband Antonio Masi on January 13, 2015.
Mom was wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister. She leaves to mourn her grandchildren Anna, Nicolette, Norina, Carla, Tony, Carlo and great grandchildren whom she all loved so dearly.
Our mother was unlike any other. Throughout her life mom was devoted to caring for dad, we her children, grandchildren and many others. She was the ultimate example of what unconditional love was all about. Mom touched the lives of so many people in so many ways, never expecting anything in return. She was a true giver and a woman of immense faith in our Heavenly Father. It was often said that mom was way ahead of her time especially in her earlier years as she was raising her family with dad, always making sure everyone was well looked after, loved and cared for.
Mom had instilled great values in all of us. Her strength, courage and perseverance were an inspiration. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren in her kitchen preparing wonderful treats all whilst throwing in tonnes of fun, lots of laughs and just enjoying those great times. Mom took great pride in herself as well, always doing her best to look beautiful, making sure we understood the value of beauty from the inside out. Mom, you will always be remembered and be by our sides as we continue with our lives. When we hear the whispers we’ll know it is you!
“DIO MIO”
Heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all nurses, aides and staff of Misericordia Hospital, Cornish 5 unit who so lovingly cared for Mom.
