Obituary of FRED JACOB HEUCHERT
FRED JACOB HEUCHERT
Fred died on August 9, 2015 at Parkview Place due to complications from diabetes. He was born on June 18, 1936 to William and Katherine (Gusnoski) Heuchert, now deceased.
Fred had a BA degree and an Education Certificate from the University of Manitoba. He was a teacher of English at Red River Community College. After his early retirement, he ventured into Real Estate.
Fred was very light-hearted, cheerful and had many friends. He had a particular fun side impersonating Elvis Presley where he would perform and sing in front of family members - he was pretty good!
Fred built his first house with the help of his wife Sharon Fenby. He was very handy with carpenter tools and carved small animals from wood.
Fred is survived by his sister Doreen Rudan, husband John, and their children, John Jr., Tessa, Michael and wife Brenda and their children Megan, James and William Rudan, all in Ithaca, NY. His younger sister
Janice Richardson resides in Winnipeg. He was close to his ex-wife Sharon Fenby who died in 2013. Fred had a very caring and close friend, David Nash, who was of great help to him for many years as his health
deteriorated.
A graveside service, officiated by Fr. Sean Cahill, will be held at the convenience of the family.
