Obituary of MARGARET CHRISTINA MORRIS
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Morris on August 29, 2015 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 85. Mom was predeceased by her husband Gilbert, her daughter Vicki and sister Aileen.
She leaves her son Craig (Cleo), grandchildren Sydney and Blake, son in law Randy, sister Pat (Don), brothers Bill(Sylvia) and Rob(Marilyn).
Mom was born in Belfast, Ireland and lived on Victor St and Logan Ave in Winnipeg growing up. She met Gilbert when she lived on Victor and prior to his passing they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in June. Mom worked at Great West Life early in her career and then the Eaton's Diamond Counter down town for many years until she decided to go back to school to Red River College in her early 40's. When she finished school she was hired by Red River in the Business Administration Department until she retired. She loved to read, do needlepoint, sewing, tending to her flowers and baking. She enjoyed travelling especially to Hawaii and spent many winters in Texas with dad. Mom was a kind, beautiful lady and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Forever in our hearts.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
