MIECZYSLAW PORCZEK
Mieczysław “Mieciu” Porczek, 62, peacefully returned to his heavenly home with loved ones by his side on Friday, October 30th, 2015 after a courageous battle with a sudden illness. His immense love for his family and deep devotion to God served him greatly, and granted him peace.
Mieciu was born in Poland, on July 9th, 1953. He immigrated to Canada in 1988, his wife and children joined him thereafter. He became a roofer by trade, working with Accord and MJ Roofing. He loved gardening, mushroom picking, and fishing. Family and friends were very dear to his heart. Selfless in nature, and caring in his ways, Mieciu was truly fond of helping others. He will be profoundly missed by those who loved him.
Mieczysław is survived by his wife, Urszula; children, Maciek (Olivia), Tomek, Ania, and Robert; grandchildren, Elliana, and Dominic; siblings, Gosia (late Stanislaw), Marian (Danuta), Alicja (Hirek), Dorota (Marek), and Janusz (Agnieszka); along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stefan and Zofia, and his sister, Teresa.
