Obituary of LEOPOLD (LEO) MENARD
LEOPOLD (LEO) MENARD
1921-2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo on Friday November 27, 2015.
He will be lovingly remembered by Laurie, his wife of 68 years, his two children, Edward and Marianne McNabb (Don) and his grandchildren Tegan and David McNabb.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Leo was born in Gracefield, Quebec. He served six years in the Governor General's Foot Guards in Europe and was discharged from the army in 1945.
Leo retired from the postal service in 1977 and enjoyed travelling with Laurie, especially to warmer climates. He spent many hours fishing on Manitoba waters and cherished the lifetime friendships he made.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, December 03 at 7:00pm at our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 04 at 1:00pm also at the church with Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H. presiding.
