I never had the pleasure to meet Elizabeth, but her goodness clearly transcended that minor obstacle.
My 7-year old son lives with Cystic Fibrosis, and upon learning that she could help raise funds for his care through the collection of pop can tabs, she facilitated the placement of collection cans at Kildonan House and later Sturgeon House.
Of course I am grateful for the considerable amount of money raised from these pop tabs, but my gratitude runs deeper than that. When good people reach out and offer help without even having a direct connection to the cause, they make the world the kind of place I want my son to grow up in. With her death we have all lost a beautiful and generous soul here on earth.
To the family, friends and neighbours of Mrs. Zoochkan, I wish you love and light during the heartbreaking journey of grief.
