Obituary of NORMAN VALENTIN KAUFMANN
NORMAN VALENTIN KAUFMANN
Peacefully on January 20, 2016 at the age of 84 years, after a long battle with diabetes and cancer, Norman was called home to the Lord.
He was predeceased by his father Valentin; mother Victoria; brother Julien; son Michael and grandson Adam.
Norman is survived by his children (and spouses) Terry (Larry), Allan (Connie), Grant (Pat), Cindy (Glen), Paul, Lisa (Randy), Christine (Cy) and Kim (Ian); 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; his sister Theresa Merck and devoted life partner Pat Kublanski.
Norman was employed as an account for Canadian General Electric for numerous years until his retirement. As an accomplished carpenter and artist, his love for both wood and canvas highlighted his retirement years. He spent his last several years creating the many beautiful paintings his family hold so dear.
The family wish to thank the 4th floor staff and doctors at Seven Oaks Hospital, who with compassion cared for and kept Norman comfortable until his passing.
A Celebration of Norman’s Life will take place on Wednesday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
Norman’s gentle demeanour touched the lives of all that knew him, he will be dearly missed; as the angels surround him and he settles into his new home in Heaven.
