Obituary of TRELLIS HIRT

TRELLIS HIRT (nee LEPINE) It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our family's matriarch, after a courageous and brief battle with cancer on January 22, 2016. Trellis passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 53 years. Born July 23, 1962, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Survived by her ever-loving children, Ashley Hirt and Benjamin McGregor. Her brother and sisters, James Lepine, Arlene Bursheim, Rennie Lepine, Tammy Mahone, Terrie Green, Tracy Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews. She's predeceased by her spouse Kimberley McGregor (2007), boyfriend Peder Marstad (2011) and the love of her life, an orange tabby named Morris (2013). She is also predeceased by her brother and sister, Randy and Shelly Lepine and her parents, Uylsses and Hazel Lepine. Trellis will always be remembered for her vivacious laugh, generosity and positive outlook on life. An avid bowler and bingo player, she was a living social butterfly. Despite her illness over the past few months, Trellis worked hard to maintain normalcy and live life to the fullest. Her resilience and strength are a testament to her extraordinary personality that we will all dearly miss. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre and the Grace Hospital for their loving care.
