Obituary of JEAN MARY YABLONSKI
JEAN YABLONSKI (nee Baliant)
On Saturday, January 30, 2016 just short of her 90th birthday Mom passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by her parents Ignace and Sophie Baliant (nee Kochanowski), her husband Walter, infant twin brother John, daughter Carol Shaw and granddaughter Debbie Kozera.
She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by daughter Louise (Phil), son Len (Alex) of Winnipeg, granddaughter Cindy Morrison (Brent), great grandchildren Nicole and Sean of Lantz, NS, sister Bernice Zielke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was born and married in Meleb, MB. She and Walter spent a number of years farming in both Malonton, and Fraserwod, MB. When their cattle suffered a devastating disease, they moved to Winnipeg in 1962, where she was a stay at home mom and helped out of town family members by supplying room and board. Her joy of cooking was most enjoyed by her borders and evident at the number of holiday dinners she had with all the ethnic delights. Mom and Dad enjoyed many vacations to various hot spots. Mom also took a trip to Europe with family and friends, which was most memorable.
Mom resided at Carriage House North for many years, where she enjoyed playing cards with her many friends and will be missed by them especially Anne. She enjoyed outings to play bingo at the casino with her good friend Dorothy.
As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Tuesday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. She will be interred at Precious Blood Cemetery in Fraserwood, MB this spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s memory may be made to Precious Blood Cemetery Fund C/O Robert Yablonski P.O. Box 137, Fraserwood, MB R0C-1AO
