Obituary of IRENE DROSDOSKI
IRENE DROSDOSKI
1920-2016
Mom passed away peacefully at Selkirk General Hospital on February 3, 2016 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Mom and Dad married in 1939, farmed in Angusville and owned a hotel in Rossburn. They moved to Shoal Lake and lived there till 1960 when they moved to Winnipeg. In 1991, they moved to Columbus House and became members at Holy Eucharist Parish. In 2015, Mom moved to Red River Place in Selkirk to be close to her daughter.
Mom lived a full life, where she was dedicated to her family as a home maker who loved to sew, cook, garden and travel. Her infectious smile and laugh would light up every room she was in.
She is survived by her daughter Vivian(Gerry) Praznik, sister Dora, and brother Peter(Francis), son-in-law Joseph. Grandchildren, Heath(Candy), Jody(Christine), Tobin(Ramey), James(Gayline), Joanna(Lance), Jeffrey(Brandie). Great Grandchildren, Kirstin, Avery, Adynn, Matthew, Tyler. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, daughter Shirley and parents Anton and Anne Wladyka, sister Lena, brothers Joe, Mike, Bill and Nick.
A special thank you to Dr. R. Lindenschmidt, Red River Place staff and the compassionate palliative care she received at Selkirk General Hospital.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation
Service will be at Holy Eucharist Parish (Corner of Watt & Munroe) on Saturday, February 6 at 10:30am. (Elevator door located on the North side)
