I am a Sacred Heart Academy grad student. Sister Junia played a key role in my personal and professional development. It is because of her teaching and confidence in me that I went on to work as a professional artist. It is also because of her that I developed strong divergent thought capabilities so that I could transfer my artistic training to other fields. Sister Junia truly provided the formative training that I needed to be successful in all that I have done. She taught me to be creative in everything that I do. She also taught me to be compassionate and understanding with every individual and situation that I encountered. I truly can not succinctly illustrate how she influenced so much of my life. However, to her family and friends, I will say that she was pivotal not only to my formative development but also to everything that I did after high school. I drew on her wisdom, and guiding words, even when she wasn't there. Sister Junia, thank you so very much for being in my life. My life is, and has been, superb because of you!

I was blessed to begin my teaching career at Sacred Heart, with Sr. Junia as a mentor. Not a day goes by that I don't think of the lessons I learned from her. Though she was one of the kindest & most caring people I have known, it was her faith that I remember best. Unwavering & strong, it was that faith which allowed her to see the best in others, even if they couldn't always see it in themselves. As she once told me, "Treat people well. You never know when you have just looked into the face of Jesus."

People may not remember everything that she said,
And people may not remember everything that she did,
But people will always remember how she made them feel.
