Obituary of LOUIS HOLUBOWICH

LOUIS HOLUBOWICH It is with great sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of our father Louis on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Louis was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2005. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 6 children Martha (Brian), Margaret (Ken), Alvin (Patricia), Dennis, Violet, David (Carmen); 6 grandchildren Jason (Angela), Andrew (Christine), Eric, Layne (Joey), Brandon and Kyle; 3 great grandchildren James Aarun and Madison. He is also survived by his brother Albert in Myrnam, Alberta. Louis was born in Myrnam, Alberta on May 15, 1925. He was a cook at a logging camp in Ontario and worked at Weston Bakeries for many years. Louis then began his journey as an entrepreneur. He owned a restaurant, became a landlord, started the Landlord Association, sold Christmas trees, started his demolition company and purchased a farm in West St. Paul to pursue his love of farming. Louis never really retired; going to auction sales with his dog was his passion. Through his hard work he was a good provider for his family. Dad enjoyed his summer road trips back to Alberta to visit with many family and friends. He also enjoyed listening to Ukrainian music and going to polka party dances. He also loved animals. Many thanks to the caring staff at Middlechurch Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg MB R3T 0R3. VICHNAYA PAM’YAT FOREVER IN OUR MEMORY
