Obituary of JAMES HUGH HENDERSON

JAMES HUGH HENDERSON January 17, 1955 - March 19, 2016 Jim completed life’s journey on March 19 with his family by his side. He began the journey January 17, 1955, the son of James Walter Henderson and Lillian Macauley. He will be sorely missed by everyone who travelled with him including his wife, Beverly (Berry), son Jeffrey, daughter Jacqueline, grand-daughters Lily and Mya, sister Patricia and partner Doug, brother Ted and wife Wendy, brother Harvey, brother Thomas and wife Diana, sister Susie and partner Jennifer, aunts Marion and Doreen, brother-in-law Paul and wife Barb, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends who were part of the family, and the many firefighters with whom he served. Jim was a proud third-generation firefighter and served with the Winnipeg Fire Department for over thirty years. He retired as a Captain in January, 2009. He also served on the Executive of the IAFF Local 867 for nine years. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.
