My deepest sympathy on your great loss. I grew up in Balmertown and knew Gerald through his sister Joanne; the family lived across the road from my family.
It was great a few short years ago to catch up with Gerald on Facebook. It's kind of comforting knowing your old chums are not that far away.
Gerald is now free of this horrid disease that has affected all of us in some way or the other.
The spirit lives.
