Obituary of JOAQUIM SILVA
JOAQUIM SILVA
On April 8, 2016, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home at the age of 70 years.
Joaquim is survived by his loving wife Maria Do Sameiro; sons Marc (Sarah) and Eric (Jessica) and granddaughter Lilja Grace.
He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers.
Joaquim was born on February 13, 1946 in Minho, Portugal. Following their marriage, Joaquim and his wife immigrated to Canada in 1974, where his two loving sons were born. His passions were his family, tending to his garden, watching soccer and most recently spending time with his beautiful granddaughter Lilja Grace.
Thanks are extended to the rest of the family and close friends for support also to the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and WRHA Palliative Care Program.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue West.
