TADEUSZ (TED) SOSNOWSKI
We are saddened by the sudden passing of Ted at his home in St. Malo, MB on Monday, May 2, 2016. Ted was born in Poland on January 2, 1942 and came to Canada with his parents in 1960.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda, children Henry, Joanne, Elizabeth and Christopher, grandchildren Amber, Alyssa, Jasmine, Quentin, Samantha, Tiana, Phoenix and Patience, great grandchildren Braden, Eden and his brother Zbygniew.
Ted was a kind and loving man who spent many happy years working on his property and building his dream home in St. Malo, MB. He was an avid supporter of the Polish community in Winnipeg. He was born in Poland in the town of Uhrynkowce, He married his first wife Eva Tuszynska in 1965 and had 3 children; Henry, Joanne and Elizabeth. Eva passed in 1975 and he married again with Wanda. They had another child from this relationship named Christopher.
Life happened and Ted moved on to his third and final marriage of 30 years to his beloved wife Linda. They spent many years residing in Winnipeg, MB and moved out to St. Malo, MB in 2007.
Ted accomplished much in his lifetime. He was a Print Press Instructor at Red River Community College in Winnipeg, MB in the 70's. He moved on to form his own printing company in the 80's. He was an entrepreneur in his business career throughout his lifetime and liked to think outside of the box. He was always learning and growing intellectually up to the end of his life. He was a skilled carpenter who built his parents’ home and his own homes. He became a registered Bee Keeper in his later years as one of his last accomplishments.
Ted enjoyed keeping busy with home improvement projects. His last project was adding a sun-room to his property and he was in the process of finalizing it.
Ted had a great love for animals. His dog Goldie and his cat Chuckie will miss him. He is now with his dog Lucky who passed on in 2010.
He had many friends and especially his best friend Dino whom he considered a brother. Their memories of time spent at Georgies, of hosting dinners, BBQ's, parties, swimming in the river and coffee at Tim Horton's will always be cherished.
Ted will always be remembered for his wry sense of humor and his intelligence. He saw the process of life and living from a unique perspective and always talked about leaving a legacy. His legacy is to always keep learning and living your life to the best of your abilities and remember that love is what you make of it.
