REGINA KAWKA
February 18, 1930 – May 10, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Regina Kawka on May 10, 2016.
Regina is survived by her daughter Christine, son-in-law Boguslaw, their children Katleen and David, and her sister Marianna Janicka, as well as numerous relatives in Poland. Regina was predeceased by her husband Julian Kawka, her sister Jozefa and brother Jozef Janicki.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Fred Douglas Lodge for all their comforting care.
Regina was born in Makow Maz, Poland on February 18, 1930. She immigrated to Canada in 1963 and married the love of her life Julian. In 1964 she gave birth to her loving daughter Christine. Regina was a member of Holy Ghost Parish. She was very religious, and recited the rosary on a daily basis. She had a generous and kind soul. Regina was a wonderful wife and mother. She will be sadly missed.
Rosary and viewing willing be held at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue on Friday, May 13 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
