LOURENCO TEIXEIRA DE BARROS
1919 - 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Lourenco DecBarros announce his passing on Friday, June 10, 2016. At home, with family at his side, he peacefully left us to be with his beloved wife Conceicao Barros. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, son Antonio Barros (Ana); daughters, Grace Ferreira (Joao), Maria Cabral, Fatima Barros (Robert Adams). Lourenco also leaves behind his grandchildren, Paul Ferreira (Connie), David Ferreira (Jennifer), Raymon Cabral (Cristina), Christopher Cabral (Christine), Nicholas Barros-Adams (Danniella), Adrianna Barros (Tom), Michael Ferreira, Nelson Barros, Brittany Barros-Adams, Andrea Barros; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Ferreira, Elliot Ferreira, Madelyn Ferreira, Isabela Cabral, Ciera Cabral, Grayson Ferreira, Tiago Cabral and Olivia Adams. He leaves behind nieces and nephews in Canada and Portugal. He is predeceased by his wife Conceicao; and his mother Antonia; and father Jeronimo; sisters, Ana, Margarida, Carmelinda, Maria and Olivia.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street North. Interment will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street. Special thanks to Sharon, the home care worker from Winnipeg Regional Heath Authority, who showed the family kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
