Obituary of MARLON SAN MIGUEL BERNARDO

MARLON SAN MIGUEL BERNARDO Marlon San Miguel Bernardo, a beloved father, son, brother, and uncle, at the age of 43, suddenly passed away after a lengthy battle with Diabetes on Saturday July, 2, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was born on June 1, 1973 in Manila, Philippines and was the youngest of five children. He is survived by his ex-wife Liezl and their two children Kathleen and Jumel, father Wilson and predeceased by his mother Julieta, his sisters Zerline, Jenny (Peter), and brothers Christian, Joshua (Minerva) and their children, Jasper, Joshua Jr, Jacob, Gail (Michael) and son Khoi, along with the San Miguel family. He will also be remembered by his cousins and relatives in the United States, and in the Philippines, too numerous to mention. Marlon was a fashionable person. He had a love for gold at a young age and has expanded his jewelry collection as he grew older. He was always wearing various rings, chains and necklaces. Marlon was also recognized for his love of cars and modifying them. Ever since coming to Winnipeg, he had an impressive collection by obtaining a Mazda Rx-7, 1984 Supra, 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and recently he obtained his teen dream car, 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Marlon was known as an outgoing person. He always enjoyed spending time outdoors whether that be fishing, playing with family pets, or going to the park with his kids and family. Amongst his friends he was recognized as a caring, humorous person who always knew how to make people laugh. He always puts his loved ones first above his own needs. Marlon always wanted to help his family and provided helpful advice to his children whenever they have difficulties in life. Regardless of condition, Marlon was always spending time with his family. Marlon will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone, including Dialysis Unit Staff at HSC and Seven Oaks Hospital for their support through this difficult time. Lamay/Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 7pm- 11pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street. Following the interment, there will be a reception at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
