JOSE CABRAL
January 23, 1938 – July 5, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a husband, father and grandfather on Tuesday July 5, 2016, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78.
Jose Cabral was born on January 23, 1938 in Faja de Cima, Ponta Delgada, Acores.
Jose leaves behind his loving Wife Margarida, his children Filomena, John (Julie), Paula (Scott) and Sandy (Joey) and his ten grandchildren (Mark, Steve, Kevin, Daniel, Alisha, Rebecca, Jason, Francesco, Matteo, and Adriano) and a great grandchild Trenton. He also leaves behind his loving sisters Lidia (Jose) and Isabel (Joao) and five nephews back home in Ponta Delgada.
He is predeceased by his father Joao and mother Maria da Conceicao.
Jose had many passions in Life but chief among them were his gardening, his friends, his church and his family.
Jose loved nothing more than being there for large get togethers with his family and friends.
He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and gentle spirit.
We will always love you Joe/Dad/Vovo and will miss your smile Forever.
Prayers will be held at 8 pm on Thursday July 14 and a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday July 15th both at the Immaculate Conception Parish located at 181 Austin Street North in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Joe's family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care at a most difficult time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joe's name to Cancer Care Manitoba.
