So many warm memories of our dear Mr. Knight! I had the honor of knowing Mr. Knight for 23 years and my late father-in-law, Leon Verot had the pleasure of being an usher at the 9:00 am mass alongside Mr. Knight and Mr.Ed Pederson for 30 years. You knew all was well with the world when you looked toward the last aisle at the back of the church and saw Mr. Knight there faithfully every Sunday wearing his red usher jacket, white dress shirt and bow tie very proudly. You could also find Mr. Knight at many, many St. Alphonsus Childrens Christmas parties dressed up like a clown, entertaining the crowd. Our girls would often argue as to which one was going to hand Mr. Knight the offeratory envelope on Sundays and receive one of his most famous "gimme five's!". Being a lector at St. Al's, my goal has always been to speak clearly and loudly enough so that Mr. Knight could hear me at the back of the church. I always felt so proud when he would compliment me by saying that I had done a good job! We will all miss Mr. Knight and his purple car very, very much. Rest in peace dear friend.

Mr Knight was a very fine neighbour and gentleman. My daughter and I live on the other side of the back lane from him. We enjoyed our back lane visits with him. I especially enjoyed taking my daughter to Mr Knight's home on Halloween. He'd be all dressed up - from head to toe. He had a great and kind spirit.
When my mom passed away, he held me so tight in his arms and told me he was praying for me. When my daughter was born, he called me and asked me to meet him in the backyard as he'd gone to the store to buy Juliette a baby present.
I was always amazed at his generosity and kindness. He also used to chastise me if I hadn't closed the back gate all the way. Haha.
Wonderful neighbours like him are one in a million. Rest in peace, Dear Mr Knight. Or as you say, peace and love!
