Obituary of ELSWOOD CARRINGTON RADCLIFFE
ELSWOOD (DOOLEY) CARRINGTON RADCLIFFE
February 12, 1936 – August 6, 2016
Elswood (Dooley) Carrington Radcliffe, born February 12, 1936, died peacefully on August 6, 2016. Dooley was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Julie and his parents Edith and Leslie Radcliffe.
Dooley is survived by his daughter Cathy Brooks (Carl), son Michael (Deanna), grandchildren Victoria, Courtney, Cole, Taylor and Tanner, his brother Michael (Linda) and their family, and cousins.
Dooley spent his working career in personal finance and wealth management in Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Calgary before retiring to Winnipeg to spend more time at the cottage and with his grandchildren.
Dooley was an avid hunter, sports fan and a committed cottager at Lake of the Woods. Dooley’s patience (most of the time), never ending humour and strong sense of faith were not only admirable to many but integral to his ongoing battle with his palsy.
Thanks to all the staff/friends at Riverview Health Centre and Charleswood Care Centre for their care, compassion, support and most importantly friendship.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 2, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dooley’s memory to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation.
