Obituary of ANNE SUWALA

ANNE SUWALA (KOLOTYLO) February 26, 1919 - November 10, 2016 It is with great sadness that Mom passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence. She was predeceased by her husband Michael (1975) and sister Ella (1983). Mom is survived by her son Donald, (Linda), daughter Marianne (Robert) Kurz, sister Nadia Kowal, cousin Ron Kolotylo, four grandsons, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg. Upon her marriage in 1946 she moved to the Tecumseh-Grassmere District where she enjoyed the rural life for many years. Upon returning to the city Mom continued to lead an active life with sewing, baking, and gardening. She was a member of the Manitoba Crafts Guild and a long-time member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral. We wish to extend our thanks and appreciation to the staff at St. Joseph's for the kind care Mom received for the last four years she resided there. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
