Obituary of NORMAN L. CANERS

NORMAN L. CANERS It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Norman Caners on November 22, 2016 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife Jeannette; two sons, Larry (Heather), Darryl and two granddaughters, Emily and Sara. Dad will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Sister Florence, Clara, Philip (Pat), Robert (Eva), Paul (Rose), Anthony (Mary), Marriette, and in-laws Vic (Fay), Marcel (Peggy), Helen, Yvette, Andre (Karen), Ron (Lorraine), Roger (Debbie). There are numerous nieces and nephews as well. Dad was predeceased by his parents Louis and Delima; brother Hubert; sisters, Helen and Cecile and in-laws Fernande and Gabriel. Dad was born August 16, 1943. He grew up on the family farm. He moved to the city in his early 20's where he started to work at Kraft Construction. He started at Gateway Construction in 1974 and remained there for over 40 years until his retirement in 2015. Dad and mom recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Dad was very excited with the arrival of his granddaughters, Emily and Sara. Dad had two main passions: family and work. In his short retirement he enjoyed gardening and making his bird houses. Dad will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will be November 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 315 Munroe Ave. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
