Obituary of OLGA HELEN LANDEGA
OLGA HELEN LANDEGA
June 17, 1944 – November 24, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Olga (Ollie) Landega on November 24, 2016.
She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Veronica (nee Badiuk) Landega, as well as her nephew Curtis Landega.
Left to lovingly remember Olga are: Andrew (Susan) Landega; Meagan (Aaron, Chase, Zachary) Dlot; Natasha (Calvin) Thiessen; Lillian (Joseph) Krutish; Charlene (Gerry, Danielle, Ryan) Vanderhorst; Bruce Krutish; Jason (Angela) Krutish.
Olga’s generosity and kindness will be remembered by all who were touched by her. Work was Ollie’s life with 50 years in the investment services industry. Respected by peers and clients alike; Ollie’s clients always came first. Ollie was caring and loving and always compassionate to strangers with her kindheartedness. We will never truly know the extent of the lives she’s touched through her generosity. Ollie never wanted the limelight and preferred to celebrate in private.
In keeping with her last wishes, an intimate service and interment were held on November 30, with family and close friends, at Cropo Funeral Chapel and Elmwood Cemetery.
Olga’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff who provided wonderful care including Dr S.O. Banerji, Dr A.D. Chowdhury and all the staff at CancerCare Manitoba at Health Sciences Centre; Dr R. Myers, Dr M. Ainsley, Clare Ruben and all the staff at the Respiratory Clinic at Health Sciences Centre; Dr J. Rusen at the Eaton Place Medical Centre; and the staff and caregivers at the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre for the care provided in her last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Olga can be made to CancerCare Manitoba (204-784-2779), or the charity of your choice.
