My wife and I knew Richard most of his life having socialized with his parents when he was very young. From an early age Richard was the most caring and genuine person to both young and old. Aside from his athletic ability he had a gentle way about him. Our son was 6 yrs younger than Richard. When we would visit ...Richard played games and sports as though he was his big brother. It must have been painful for Richard to entertain a younger person with such enthusiasm. We knew that one day he would have children of his own and would display the same patience with them. One year ago we learned of Richard's diagnosis. Even though we had lost touch with Richard...Visits with him in hospital seemed so relaxing . He never said "Why Me" and dealt with all of the ups and downs until the end. Our condolences go out to his wife, sons, father, mother, brother and his many relatives. Rest in Peace Richard. We will always remember you ...fondly.

Richard you will always be in my memories of that young hockey player that when we needed someone to play goalie for that championship tournament game you said to me that you wanted to do it. You showed so much strength and courage, everything you showed while you battled this disease. Rest easy, and know you live on in your little boys.
