Obituary of ANNA MARIA BUCCINI
ANNA MARIA BUCCINI
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Anna Maria Buccini on December 6, 2016.
Anna leaves to mourn her cherished son Dino; her cherished daughters Luisa (Remo) and Rita (Joe); her precious grandchildren Rina (Marco), Valentino (Genevieve), Joseph (Dorota), Tia (Danny); her precious great grandchildren Nicholas, Katrina, Remo, Alex, Joseph, Vittoria and Valentino and Natalia; brother Salvatore (Marcella); sister Maria (Antonio); sister-in-law Angie(Gus); sister-in-law (Rina) and brother-in- law Fernando, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfiero, mother Delfina, father Luigi, in-laws Addolorata, Emidio, Gino, Dina and John; nieces Sonia and Stephanie.
Anna was born in Villalago, Italy on February 22, 1934.On February 19, 1950, she married her beloved Alfiero and they were married for 65 years.
Anna came to Canada in 1951 to be with her husband Alfiero, who had come to Canada the year before. She always recounted how in Italy they would say "You are a young girl - where are you going to go by yourself” and how she would (proudly and poignantly) respond “I need to go and join my husband in Canada”. And with that being said she, with her daughter Luisa in tow, courageously departed to her new homeland.
The family remembers how devoted and loyal she was to Dad and the children and how she and Dad would work countless hours to make sure that everything was in perfect order for the family.
Mom was a very loving person, generous, unselfish. Cared for her family deeply. She liked simple things. She was also strong willed and had a profound sense of what was right.
Mom was a beautiful woman. She was a housewife and homemaker foremost. She was also a person who took care of her appearance. She was stylish, imaginative and creative and she like to modify and design her own clothes and jewellery.
Since Dad's passing, Mom missed him immensely and she also cherished the time she had here with her children. She especially loved Christmas at her house with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. How she especially loved to open gifts with the family and especially the grandchildren. There was always so much great food.
Mom was a special lady and we will never forget her. Mom, we miss you very much and we will keep you in our hearts and prayers forever. We will never forget all you have done for us. Rest in peace our dear and special mother.
