Obituary of ROSE JOSS
Rose Joss
(neeYaworski)
September 28, 1943 - December 16, 2016
Surrounded by the love of her family, Rose passed away peacefully at the young age of 73.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved, devoted, best friend and husband of 51 years, Jerry, children: Karen (Alvin), Nadine (Randy), Donna (Chris), Kevin, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. She was predeceased by both her parents, all of her siblings, and one precious grandson, Cody.
The doors to Rose’s heart and home were always open. Her hugs and generous love warmed your insides, while the clothing she loved to sew, kept you comfortable, and let you know just how much she loved you.
Some of her greatest joys were sewing, babysitting in her home, cooking, going to church, and spending time with family and friends. She loved music, gospel especially. Most important to Rose were her faith in God and her large family.
Sadly, Rose was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She was first cared for by staff at the Grace General Hospital, and in most recent years, Deer Lodge Center. In both hospital and Deer Lodge, Rose and her family were always met with compassionate, gentle, caring staff. The family has deep gratitude for all their kindness over the years.
Rose’s life was a gift, and all who knew and loved her were blessed. She is now with God, in heaven, and at peace.
To honor Rose’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held in the spring of 2017, in Fisher Branch, MB.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Jan.7, 2017. Anytime between 1-4pm, friends and family are invited to come to Jerry’s home, to share memories of Rose.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
