WILLIAM DIDYK
It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather William at Concordia Hospital on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Left to forever cherish his memory, wife Maryann, children Lyle (Cheryl), Daryl (Nancy), Karrie (Jason), grandchildren Ashley, Samantha, Amy, Matthew, Jayden, Eric, Kate. Also, mother Ann Shewchun, brother Steve (Elaine), sisters Lizz Myron, Lovie Okipnik, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by infant daughter Mary, father Nick Didyk, sister Elsie Burnett, and in laws Paul and Ann Kulczycki.
Bill was born in Poplarfield, and raised in Winnipeg, attending St. John’s High School. William began his career with Manitoba Hydro in 1958 and worked there for 35 years as an Engineering Technologist until his retirement. During that time he was President of MANSCETT and served on the Board of Directors.
Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and family trips to Roblin, as well as travelling to BC, Texas, Arizona, England and Vegas. His most enjoyment was spent with his family working on various projects helping his children and grandchildren and was always wanting to help friends.
Special thanks from the family is extended to the staff of N3 East at the Concordia Hospital for their exceptional care and love shown to Bill and family.
