Obituary of GERRY HAMMOND

GERRY HAMMOND (Drimes) March 21, 1953 – January 12, 2017 Gerry was born in Winnipeg and lived at the family farm until she met and married the love of her life Dave Hammond. She worked at MTS and helped Dave at St. Adolph Trailer Park where they had their first daughter. They later sold St. Adolph Trailer Park and moved to Arnes to help with the family business, Spruce Sands RV Resort. This is where they came to live and have their second daughter. Gerry loved her days at the lake and visiting with everyone at the store. She always had a welcoming smile and was ready to help whomever was in need. Gerry was predeceased by her parents Phil and Mary Drimes, her sister Carol Hannay, and her brother Ed Drimes. Gerry has left behind her husband Dave Hammond, daughter Diana (Vince) and their children Joshuah and Julianna, daughter Jacqui (Damon) and their child Riley-Jones and her brother Doug Drimes. Gerry will be greatly missed, and always loved. As per her wishes cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main St, 204-586-8044 from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Society.
