Obituary of OLGA MARLENE PFEIFER
OLGA PFEIFER
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Olga Pfeifer announces her passing at the Seven Oaks Hospital on March 27th, 2017 at the age of 82 years.
Olga is survived and will be sadly missed by sons Jeff, Gordon (Karen), and Les (Karen); grandchildren Rhonda (Philip), Derek, Corey (Becky), Kevin (Nickaela), Jennifer, Holly (Travis), Jesse, Benjamin, Nicholas and Michael; and great grandchildren Jeffery, Shayna and Alexis, sisters Marie, Martha (Claude), sister-in-law Ellen, brother-in-law Raymond (Maimie), special niece Debbie (Scott) and many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Milton, brothers Danny and Paul Yellowaga, sister-in-law Adeline Wilson and parents Doris and William Yellowaga.
She was born in Bield, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 18. She worked several years as a waitress and during that time met Milton.
Olga loved her three sons with all of her heart. Not always agreeing with their decisions, she was always there to support them in all that they did. Growing up she never missed a hockey or baseball game or a wrestling match they were involved in.
Olga had many friends of all ages. She loved to socialize, go out to eat and even just go for a ride. In her later years she enjoyed her frequent phone calls from many who cared about her. Even in the hospital she always had her phone and little phone book close by so she could let everyone know how bad the food was and how many times they poked her that day!
All in all Olga will be lovingly remembered for her strength and ability to make it through hard times. She had many struggles throughout the years and especially in the last several with her frequent hospitalizations and failing health. It was difficult for her to accept her limitations as she had always been so active and independent her whole life.
The family would like to thank Dr Patel for his care of Olga and also to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital 4th floor unit 5.
Please join us as we thank God for and celebrate Olga's life in a service at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 6:00pm on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society or British Columbia Easter Seal Camp Fund.
