Stan was always extremely generous with his time in respect to helping others.
In 1961, he acted as best man for my wedding.
Because I had been transferred and was working in Ottawa at the time, and my bride- to- be was still in Winnipeg.
he spent a great deal of his personal time in assisting her in the planning. organizing and completing the many
tasks and multitude of things required to put together a successful wedding back in Winnipeg during my absence .
Although I only knew him for a couple of years during the time we both were attending United College.
and he used his auto to pick me up to go to classes downtown from East Kildonan where I lived.
He did all that from a place of caring and I was extremely grateful for his kindness and concern.
Stan always had a smile and chuckle available to anyone he spoke with.
I d o not recall him ever saying a bad thing about others.
He had respect for everyone and was more than willing to assist in any way he could.
Stan was a true gentleman and I was very sorry to read about his passing.
Ron Peterson Edmonton Alberta.
