BARRY VICTOR VAN BRABANT
March 14, 1925 - June 25, 2017
Barry V. Van Brabant, 72, of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday June 25, 2017.
Barry is survived by his loving Aunt Cookie, cousins Lori, Terry, Lindy, his brother-in-law Brian (Nadine), numerous nieces and nephews, his great-nephews and great-nieces, and treasured neighbours, friends and family.
He was predeceased by his soulmate and wife, Beverley (Bev), mother Helen, Grandma Effie and Uncle Ken.
Barry was a devoted, loving husband to Bev for 29 years. Together, they built a happy home for themselves and many rescue dogs. Barry was an honest, hardworking, considerate man, who always had something kind to say. For 23 years, he worked with the Winnipeg Airport Authority Fire Department, and his passion for airplanes and aviation was life-long.
The family would like to give special thanks to his neighbors and friends for their love and support.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Avenue on Thursday, June 29th at 1:30 pm.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
