Obituary of MARGARET MICHALSKY
MARGARET MICHALSKY
(nee Rybuck)
February 3, 1925 – July 12, 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Baba, Great Baba, Sister, Auntie and Friend, in her sleep at River Park Gardens Nursing Home. Mom was born in Senkiw, MB to Steve and Dora Rybuck and was the oldest of 14 children. She is now reunited and in the arms of her husband Peter (of 65 years), many family members and friends.
Left to cherish Mom’s memory are, her sons Terry and Stan (Margaret-Ann), her daughter Shirley (Clarke) Single, grandchildren Tannis Michalsky, Brett (Richelle) Single, Erin (Chris) Enns, Kristyn (Chris) Periera; great-grandchildren, Leighton and Brynley Single, Asher and Story Enns, and with baby Periera on the way.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Jeannie Sherman, Mildred Smook, Vicky (Gene) Kruk, Fran (Curly) Domytriuk, Irene (Brian) Hamerton, along with brothers Ray (Lorna), John (Liz) and Stan (Kathy), sisters-in-law Rachel Rybuck and Linda Thacker along with many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter (2010), her parents Steve and Dora Rybuck, sisters Stefka, Lorraine, Stephy and Sylvia, brother Walter, brothers-in-law Danny Kohut, Steve Sherman, Steve Smook and Clarence Thacker.
We thank the staff at Riverwood Square, Misericordia Cornish #2 and River Park Gardens Nursing Home. Their kind and compassionate care for Mom is greatly appreciated.
Prayers will be held on Monday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery (Catholic Section), 236 River Rd.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St. Wpg., MB R3C 4G2 in Mom’s memory.
