Obituary of GREGORY JAMES HOLTMAN
On Thursday, July 13, 2017, Greg passed away suddenly.
He leaves to mourn in passing his wife, Bette; nieces Julie Kummen, her son Dusty, Karen Kummen Diak (husband JC), her sons Ashton and Joshua; and friends.
Greg was predeceased by his parents Jim and Irene and his sister Linda.
Greg was born October 21, 1954 in Winnipeg. He lived his childhood in the house that his great grandmother had built on Hull Avenue. He graduated high school from Glenlawn.
Starting at age 9, Greg worked for the Winnipeg Free Press, starting with delivering papers and working up to driving complaints at nights and on weekends.
Greg learned to fly. He completed his Private, Commercial and Instructor rating.
Greg married Bette in 1978 and moved to Rosser, Manitoba. They started their own business ‘Seneca Kennels’ which continues to operate.
Greg loved building, including his own home. He also loved to own and repair cars.

A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 am.
