Obituary of MILO ALEXANDER PROCAYLO
MILO ALEXANDER PROCAYLO
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear old dad, Miro Alexander Procaylo. He passed away peacefully in his bed surrounded by family in Winnipeg, aged 81, on August 14, 2017.
He was born in Winnipeg on April 30, 1936 and was predeceased by his wife Lynne Bingham and parents, Dmytro and Anastsia Procaylo. He will be sadly missed by son Nicholas (Debbie) of Vancouver, daughter Susanna (Geoff) and son Christopher (Shannon) of Winnipeg, and grandchildren, Kate and Mark.
Miro married in London after extensive travels in Europe. He earned a Masters Degree in Education at Reading University, Berkshire and went on to teach at the Newbury College of Further Education and the Coventry College of Education. Upon returning to Winnipeg, he taught at St. John's High School, Sisler High School and finished his career at Gordon Bell High School.
After retirement, he worked part time for the Manitoba Film Classification Board. He had an avid interest in photography inspiring both his sons to become professional photojournalists. Other interests included history, politics, current affairs and travel. He was a kind and generous man who will be deeply missed by everyone near to him.
A private family memorial will be held next week according to his wishes.
We would like anyone who knew him to raise a glass this weekend in his honour and hug someone you love.
