Richard has been my dear friend since we met at Kitchencraft in July 2000, and despite leaving Winnipeg 12 years ago our bond of friendship remained as strong as ever. Words cannot adequately express my shock upon learning of his sudden and untimely passing, however I will forever treasure the wonderful times we had together. To his family I cannot imagine the grief you must be enduring, but you should know that through his kindness and warmth he touched a lot of people in this world, and I pray that God will give you the strength to cope, knowing that the days ahead will get better.
Richard was one of the best friends I ever had, and he will be forever in my thoughts.

I am still in complete shock; though I haven't seen Richard in a few years, he was a great friend and will truly be missed. Condolences to the whole family, especially to Michael. That little boy lit up Richards eyes and brought a special smile to his face.

There are no words I can offer to ease your pain and loss. I can only say I share it with you and understand.
It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter and although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.
I met Richard at Boeing when he took over 737 NG Aft Fairing third shift on which I have been part of since 2004. We hit it off right from the start and became manager and worker, coworkers and friends at work. He was a man of honourable conduct and a noble disposition. He always talked about his son, their time together, adventures, activities and the occasional showing of pictures of them together. He once told me his son came first and he could always get another job. Richard struck me as a person that kept a even keel about everything, like water off a ducks back.
I want to extend my condolences and sympathies to his son, wife and all his family and friends. I will truly miss him.

It's with deep sadness to hear of the loss of a great friend. I was fortunate to meet Richard at the age of 4 as he was one of my first friends when I came to Canada. Richard was a kind and gentle soul with a big heart. My deepest sympathies to Stefania, Liz, and Micheal. Rest in peace.
