EUGENE BOHDAN GENNICK
September 23, 1942 -September 17, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce sudden passing of Eugene Gennick, in ICU at Grace Hospital on September 17, 2017. Eugene passed away peacefully with his loving family and friends holding his hands and telling him how much he is loved.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Nataliya, daughter Halyna (Roman), grandsons Andrew and Michael, niece Candice (Dan), great niece Sam, niece Karen. Eugene was predeceased by his mother Annie, father Anthony, brothers William and Leonard and his sister-in-law Emily.
Eugene was born in Winnipeg. His parents emigrated from Western Ukraine. Eugene was employed with Manitoba Sugar Company, as an accountant for 17 years. Later on he worked at Piston Ring until his retirement.
Eugene was a great person. He loved his family and adored his grandsons. Dido loved watching and cheering on his grandsons in all their sports and activities. Andrew and Michael will greatly miss their Dido and his smile, his wisdom and love. Eugene will always be remembered by his family and friends.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St Ivan Suchavsky Cathedral, 939 Main St. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ivan Suchavsky Cathedral.
