My deepest sympathy and condolences on the passing of your Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma and of course my own Auntie Rose.
Auntie Rose was such a vibrant woman, full of interesting stories and always interested in how the whole family was doing (my whole McDougall and Graham clan). She was blessed to have her faculties until the end which is almost a rarity these days.
Some of her passions were - -
-- those boys - soldiers who had gone to war, and all the sacrifices they had made for Canada.
-- she kept photo albums and a detailed family history really,
--She was a fount of information about the Puchniak family, having joined that family some 80 plus years ago.
-- She was generous with her time dressing up dolls found at thrift stores, meant to enrich some little kids christmas.
-- She was a hard worker making a comfortable home for many who boarded at her home through the years.
-- She was fit - I still recall her and Uncle Benny playing baseball at the Puchniak family reunion 18 years ago!
RIP Auntie Rose.
