Obituary of AURELE ERNEST BOURBONNIERE
AURELE ERNEST BOURBONNIERE
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Aurele, on October 17, 2017, at home at the age of 81.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Evelyn; his son Douglas (Jacqueline); daughter Andrea Paget; and grandchildren Sherrie and Shayne. Also surviving are his sisters Jeannette St. Onge, Simone Loetscher and Cecile Lemoine (Charlie); and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Ste. Agathe to Irene and Ernest Bourbonniere, he moved to St. Boniface at an early age. He was a gentle, kind man with strong loyalty to his family and friends. He was an exceptional cabinet maker for over 40 years and he had a keen interest in cars and sports. He married Evelyn in 1961 and they were blessed with two healthy, happy children and two wonderful grandchildren who he loved and enjoyed. His many friends made during his involvement with bowling, working, mall walking, the church, the nieghbourhood as well as his early school years will miss our special Aurele.
A special thank you to our friend and doctor, Dr. Brian Penner.
A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, at Holy Redeemer Church, 264 Donwood Dr., with Father Doss officiating. A private interment will be held later.
In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Aurele's personality an act of kindness to someone in need would be appreciated.
