MIRACLE MARYJULES CAPILI

On Saturday, November 4, 2017, baby Miracle passed away at HSC Children’s Hospital, Winnipeg at 10 days old.

She was recently predeceased by her great grandmother Graciana Reyes.

Miracle is survived by her loving parents Jesusa M. Reyes-Capili and Lamberto L. Capili as well as her older sister Jenny Jaide Capili.

Lamay will be held on Sunday, November 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with Prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.

....it is a theological certainty that any baptized child who dies goes directly to heaven. St. Thomas expresses this point very well in his Catechism: “Those who die immediately after Baptism are admitted to the glory of God without delay.” Now, a child under the age of reason cannot commit any sin; therefore,Miracle Maryjules is baptized and dies before attaining to reason, she is most certainly is immediately admitted to heaven. The funeral rites of the Church make this teaching explicit – there is no prayer for the baptized child who has died, but rather the Church affirms that the child is already in heaven: “Comfort us with the knowledge that Miracle Maryjules lives now in your loving embrace” and again, “Our firm belief is that Miracle Maryjules, because she was baptized, has already entered this new life.” The baptized child who dies is certainly in heaven, and therefore has no need of our prayers. But us the living needs prayer and the soul in the purgatory...
