Obituary of GLENN WILLIAM GABBS
GLENN WILLIAM GABBS
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn William Gabbs on November 12, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years Karen, her children Leigh-Ann (Scott), Joni and his daughter Destiny along with grandchildren; siblings Danny (Janet), Rick (Diane), Donna and Bonnie; in-laws Jeannie (Harry), Donna (Ron), Kelly (Rick) nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Evelyn, sister Suellen; inlaws John and Isabel Meier.
Glenn was born on June 8, 1960 and raised in West Kildonan. All his life he played the guitar, harmonica and enjoyed listening to music as loud as he could. He was employed for 10 years at HSC in the distribution warehouse.
I would like to thank Danny, Kelly and Joni for the care they gave to Glenn during the last months of his life. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Julian Kim, his nurse Nubia and the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Team for the excellent care and comfort given to him on his final journey home.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Go rest high on that mountain
May God keep you in good hands
