Obituary of OLGA BOYCHUK
OLGA BOYCHUK
(nee DYRYK)
October 12, 1926 – November 15, 2017
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by Michael, her loving husband of 66 years, son Dennis and son-in-law Robert and sister Yosia.
Olga is survived by her sister Halia (Paul); daughters Diane (Ralph), Patricia (Wes), Lucille and daughter-in-law Joan; grandchildren Christine (Juergen), Darren, Heather (Vince), Kyle (Bryony), Karen, Gene, Amanda (Brent), Robyn and eight great grandchildren.
Olga regularly attended Mass at Holy Eucharist Parish for most of her life with her parents and sister and continued to do so with Michael and their children. She worked at the Winnipeg Free Press for over 25 years eventually becoming a supervisor before retiring in 1990. During her time there she made many friends.
The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at Concordia Hospital, River Ridge II and Seven Oaks Hospital.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 19 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, November 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Church, 505 Watt Street, Winnipeg followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main Street.
