Obituary of MIRKO DURDEVIC
MIRKO DURDEVIC
After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Mirko Durdevic, age 50, passed away in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
Mirko is survived by his beloved wife Jovanka Durdevic; two daughters; two grandchildren; a brother and his wife and their two children; as well as many other relatives mostly throughout western Europe. He was predeceased by both of his parents.
Mirko with his beloved family are very uplifting members of this dynamic society for more than 20 years. Mirko was a true self-made man, with a rich life experience, multi-skilled, simple, honest and very well liked. Mirko was a professional driver with Reimer Lines for approximately ten years and at times involved himself with other various successful businesses in the community and abroad. Our Mirko loved the outdoors, enjoyed the company of family and friends from all different walks of life.
Mirko was at times simply admired for his unique zest for life, the better future, hope and a pure endurance of humanity in peace. Mirko’s hobbies often turned into interesting work, and work went into ‘some’ hobbies…(his love of labour included cars, almost anything on some wheels).
We will miss you greatly, dear Mirko! God speed and will always be remembered with dignity! Your perseverance, Mirko, stands as profoundly inspiring as that song “My Way” interpreted and sung by Elvis, with a flavor of magic and serenity, and my other brother would add – That is our Mirko…..
